Create Your Laptop as Wi-fi Hotspot

Sometimes we find at office conference room or at college library or at any other place, only one internet connection is provided, but other colleagues or friends do need the internet connection to work with. In such a situation, we need to share one internet connection via wireless connection. But for such emergency and short undesirable situation, the Wi-Fi router may not be available to share a single internet connection with others clients. But there is a possibility to safe guard such a situation by creating your Laptop’s Wi-Fi as Wi-Fi hotspot and function similarly as Wi-Fi router.

The free version only supports internet sharing, however if you opt for the pro version, which also supports file sharing via Wi-Fi with other Wi-Fi enabled devices, such as Laptop, notebook, smart phones, tablet pcs, IPad and IPhones. The pro version also supports 3G and 4G devices. The application is very simple and easy to use.

Just download the setup file from the Connectify website and install it into your PC. Allow Connectify, from your system’s security settings. Once the installation is over, Connectify icon will be visible in you system’s notification area of taskbar. Just click on the Connectify icon, setup you Hotspot Name and Password as desirable. Now select the device or connection of Internet which you want to share. And in the advanced setting box, select Wi-Fi in the Share Over field and select Wi-Fi Access Point, Encrypted (WPA2) in the Sharing Mode field and then click on the Start Hotspot button. Once you hit the Start Hotspot button, your Laptop is ready to share internet connection with other Wi-Fi enabled devices or clients such as Wi-Fi enabled Laptop, PCs, Tablets, Smart Phones, PDAs etc. Now you just need to insert the corrected password which you have set while creating the Hotspot, with whom you want share the internet connection.
